Elephant Ride!

We spent the day Ayuthia (the old capital of Thailand). While we were there we got to see the old ancient ruins of the capital and ride an elephant! It was so much fun! We had about 70 people go wit us. Only about 25 of us where not Thai student! So, we had alot of non-Christian Thai students come along. We all had such a great time just hanging out and getting to know one another. Another week down in Bangkok..Time is going by so fast! Thanks to everyone who has messaged me to let me know that you are thinking about me and praying for us. Those really mean alot. As for me, I am doing well. I miss my family and friends back home, but God is definatley giving me strength..I'm not homesick or anything. So that is definatley great. I've been tired of eating rice for about two weeks now..ha. I spent alot of extra money on American food this week, but i'm thinking it was totally worth it. Please continue to pray for me and my team, and most importantly..The people of Thailand. I know God is working in and through our team, we have been blessed with many opportunites already to share the Gospel. I hope everyone has a blessed week!!

P.S. If you have tried to email at my gmail account (krdunnam@gmail.com) i'm sorry if your waiting to here from me. That account is not working..For some reason, when I got to Thailand it would not let me open it. So I haven't been able to get in there to read emails or respond. If you would like to email me you can just use my other email account (Noseyrosie29@aol.com) or find me on Facebook.

Siam Ocean World!

So, Today was my day off! Me, Cyndi, and Marianna had such a wonderful time at Siam Ocean World! We started off our day by sleeping late :) then headed to lunch! We saw P'lek on the way so he came along and he so generously took us out for lunch. He took us to a place called MK Resturante, and it was one of those places where you order your meat then cook it yourself! It was so much fun, and kinda expensive for a Thai person, but P'lek was such a gentlemen and paid of all our food! It was very delicious! After lunch, us girls went to the Aquarium and had such a nice and relaxing day! We even had Diary Queen for dinner...where they had HONEY MUSTARD! :) I was one happy girl! We all had such a wonderful day..back to SPU tomorrow! God Bless :)

a day at the park!

We started the day off by going to Church. It felt so wonderful to worship, its been almost three weeks. I think it was really good for our team..we needed the refresher. After church, we had lunch on the ground and it was yummmmy! Spaghetti, garlic bread, and salad (with ranch dressing)..spaghetti has never tasted so good! We spent the afternoon playing games with the church members and some students that we had met this past week. We also went to the park and played some ultimate frisbee and basketball. I wasn't very athletic today so I just took some pictures and ate some boiled peanuts and pork on a stick! Today was such a great day, and i'm really looking foward to see how God moves on campus again this week. Hope everyone has a blessed week, and Happy Fathers Day to my wonderful father!

life is peachy :)

Life in Bangkok has been great! God is moving in so many ways already and our team has only been on campus for three days. The University we are working is called SPU. I spend my days working in the liberal arts department. I and my team teach classes, tutor students to help with their English, eat lunch with students, play games and build relationships with h the students. I am responsible for three classes to teach and those fall on Monday and Tuesday. I love the days we spend on campus and I have met many students that have agreed to meet with me every day. There are 15 girls that I’m keeping in touch with on a daily basis. It’s busy and difficult to keep everything straight sometimes, but it’s only getting done because of the strength God is giving me. We have already had two students that we have been able to be open with about us being Christians and have gotten the “okay” to share our faith with them. Keep praying for me and our team and the students of SPU, God is moving in wonderful ways. Every day is a blessing and I love every minute of it.

Hello from Bangkok!

I have been in Thailand for nine days now. We spent the first week in Chiang Mai and in a villiage in upcountry Thailand. Chiang Mai is a very beautiful city, much cleaner and nicer than Bangkok. The village that we went to was a Christian village. It was way off in the mountains..it took five hours to drive up the mountain, and we were in the bed of a truck. I might add, that it was monsoon raining most of the time too. Once we got to the village we experienced squatty potties, garbage can showers, hard mats as beds, mosquitio nets, walking an hour to preach at another villiage, killing millipeds, and worshiping with fellow brother and sisters in Christ across the world. I wouldn't trade anything in the world for that wonderful experience God blessed me with. We are now back in Bangkok and the schools started back this week. So, tomorrow we head to the universities to start work! I am so excited, can't wait to share more with everyone when i get the chance!
